Apple is now targeting corporates in India for its devices.
The tech giant which had recently launched its latest iPhones, iPhone 6s and 6s Plus in India, is reported to have experienced sluggish pre-bookings and lower than expected demand for its devices.
The Cupertino-headquartered company is now looking at institutional sales to boost its sales and expand the reach of its devices in the country.
This is the first instance of the company targeting corporates in India to expand usage of its devices – iPhones, iPads and iMacs in the country.
The company considers India as a high potential market for its devices.
Apple has appointed more than 130 dedicated corporate resellers across the country. The locations include a number of tier-II and tier-III cities like Agra, Aizawl, Bhopal, Kozhikode, Jamshedpur, Mathura and Varanasi, as per two senior trade partners of Apple, The Economic Times reported.
They further added that Apple plans to expand its network to over 200 resellers by March 2016.
