BSNL to provide telecom services to Sahara City Homes across India

State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sahara Prime City Ltd (SPCL), the real estate arm of Sahara India Pariwar, to offer telecom services to all its townships across the country.

Under the MoU, BSNL will provide services - both hi-tech and basic telephony facilities including mobile telephony, broadband  internet  and data services, WiMax, WiFi and VSAT - to all the 217 Sahara City Homes, SPCL said in a statement.

 ''BSNL has taken up the cause and is rolling out the infrastructure which shall facilitate basic and hi-tech services to the residents of premium townships of Sahara City Homes at cost effective rates," BSNL Chief General Manager Telecom, Uttar Pradesh (E) Om Vir Singh said.

Soodip Neogi, Group Head IT, Sahara India Pariwar, President & Head of Sahara Next, for Sahara India Pariwar said that BSNL was preferred as a service provider as it is the only service provider to offer a gamut of both premium and basic services across geographical foot print.
