A.L. Mudaliar resigns as Bata India chairman

Kolkata: MR A.L. Mudaliar has resigned as Chairman and Director of Bata India Ltd. He has ben chairman of Bata India since 1989.

Mr Constantin Salameh, Director, Business Development, BSO Worldwide, has been inducted by the board and appointed acting Chairman.

Mr Chandu Morzaria, Executive Vice-President of BSO Worldwide and Regional Executive of Bata Asia and Africa, and also Vice-Chairman, Bata India, has also resigned on attaining the age of superannuation. His resignation was accepted by the board. Mr Morzaria has held senior executive positions at the Bata Worldwide headquarters in Toronto, Canada, including other Bata overseas companies.
