Cisco Systems sends across 20,000 IP telephones to India

Chennai: Cisco Systems, a leader in networking for the Internet, has shipped 20,000 IP telephones to India.

The company is the sole vendor to have got Telecommunications Engineering Centre (TEC) approval for IP-based PBX solutions in the country.

IP-based solution will enable companies to deploy services such as video conferencing, collaboration and other value-added options such as directory integration, XML integration, application prioritising calls received, calling party name and number, calls received, missed calls and dialled calls and extension mobility.
