Dabur India, the country's fourth-largest FMCG company, today said it has agreed to acquire over-the-counter energiser brand '30-Plus' from Mumbai-based Ajanta Pharma.

The financial details of the deal were not disclosed by the company, though The Economic Times reported  a deal value below Rs50 crore.

PwC was the advisor to the deal, Dabur said.

''The acquisition of '30-Plus' is part of an aggressive strategy to build capability on the over-the-counter health care business,'' said PD Narang, group director, Dabur India.

Dabur said it has identified health care as a key growth area for the future and is lining up a host of initiatives for this segment going ahead.

Narang added that the deal will offer the company synergies and an opportunity to broaden its product portfolio to capitalise on the emerging opportunities in domestic and international markets.
