Dell offers high-definition entertainment with new XPS laptops

Dell today launched the new range of XPS laptops featuring the JBL and Waves sound design and HD video streaming webcams.
Available in 14-inch and 15-inch sizes, the laptops are 3D TV ready and include NVIDIA's 3DTV play software, which allows users to connect the XPS notebooks to 3D HDTVs and play PC games in 3D, watch Blu-ray 3D movies, and browse 3D photos and videos.
The company claims that the built-in JBL speakers with integrated Waves MaxxAudio 3 processing technology deliver best laptop sound Dell has ever produced, including bass performance with 12-watt subwoofers on the 15-inch model. The speakers boast a 22W peak audio performance.
Available in the standard silver anodized aluminum display, XPS models feature Intel Core i processors and NVIDIA GeForce 400 series graphics with Optimus technology.
"The XPS brand has always been the standard-bearer for outstanding performance from Dell, and this new line of laptops is no exception,'' said Mahesh Bhalla, general manager, consumer, small and medium business, Dell India.
The laptops are designed for people with a creative bend of mind, who are passionate about art, film, photos, and value an immersive entertainment experience, the company said.
The new Dell XPS laptops are available in India at a starting price of Rs45,900 for 15-inch and Rs44,900 for the 14-inch XPS laptop.
