D-Link FY 04 net profit up by 42 per cent

Mumbai: D-Link (India) Limited has reported excellent performance for the year ended 31st March, 2004. The total income for the year registered a 19 per cent increase and stood at Rs.228.13 crore (Rs.192.17 crore).
The profit before depreciation, interest and tax for the year stood at Rs.40.73 crore (Rs.28.65 crore). After providing interest of Rs.0.36 crore (Rs.0.35 crore), depreciation of Rs. 4.08 crore (Rs.3.55 crore) and provision for taxation of Rs.4.70 crore (Rs.2.61 crore), the net profit after tax for the year stood at Rs.31.59 crore (Rs.22.13 crore), a sharp increase of 42 per cent over the previous year.
The board of directors have recommended a final dividend of 40 per cent. After taking the interim dividend of 100 per cent paid earlier, the total dividend for the year works out to .140 per cent.
In a major development during the year, the sompany's software and R&D Division has started working on development of own IPRs in the area of VoIP, Router, Access Devices, etc.
