ECIL bags R&D award

Hyderabad: Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL) has been chosen for the DSIR National Award for ''R&D Efforts in the Industry'' by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, in the computer software category 2002-03.

The award was presented on Monday to ECIL chairman and managing director G P Srivastava by Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Bachi Singh Rawat, in the inaugural session of the 17th national conference on ''In-house R&D in Industry'' held at FICCI Golden Jubilee Auditorium, New Delhi, according to an ECIL release.
