G&B to double security unit turnover

Kolkata: Godrej and Boyce Manufacturing Company has said its security equipment unit expects to more than double its turnover to Rs 200 crore in four years time. The company also plans to become the leader in new lines of high-end security products.
The companys turnover stood at Rs 92 crore in the year 2000-1 and hopes to gross a turnover of Rs 100 crore in the current fiscal. It also plans to increase its export earnings.
The company intends to enter markets in developed countries. Plans to launch new products like smart cards, perimeter security systems, banking automation products and remote surveillance systems are on the anvil.
