Google hit by service disruption

Google last morning experienced a service disruption with Gmail and Google Docs.
"The delivery of some messages is being delayed and attachments may fail to download," Google said on its Gmail status dashboard.
The search giant said, the problems affected only 0.024 per cent of the Gmail users.
PCMag, however, reported that the email service was neither coming in nor arriving long after it was sent.
Google Docs and Google Presentations were also hit with troubles, but the company chose not to elaborate on the problems with those features, except to say there was an ''issue.''
As of 12:43 pm Eastern Time, Google said its team continued with its investigations and would provide an update at 1:45 pm.
At 2:05 pm, the internet search giant changed its Gmail status from a service disruption to a service outage changing the percentage of affected users from less than 0.024 per cent to less than 50 per cent.
The company at 4 pm said that the Gmail service had been restored for some users, but a full resolution was not expected for another three hours - a time-frame that could change.
