Poway, California: Intelligent Automation Corporation (IAC) has said that it has been selected by India's premiere aerospace design and manufacturing company, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for the design, development and manufacture of the advanced Vibration Monitoring System (VMS) HUMS (Health Usage Monitoring System) for HAL's Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH).
IAC said that it would adapt and integrate the combat proven IAC-1209, Modern Signal Processing Unit (MSPU) into the HAL Dhruv ALH.
Proven leaders in aircraft HUMS, IAC enjoys a worldwide reputation for the sophistication, ease of use, and proven success of its advanced HUMS systems such as those being provided to HAL.
According to IAC chief executive officer, Jeff Goodrich, ''IAC is extremely pleased to have been selected to support HAL's Dhruv helicopter. Our advanced HUMS technology will provide HAL Dhruv customers with a demonstrated ability to significantly reduce aircraft operating costs, while improving availability and safety.''
The Dhruv VMS HUMS will continuously acquire vital data from aircraft vibration, and health and usage of the engines, transmission, drive-train system, rotor system, and airframe. IAC's system detects and diagnoses potential failures, while recording usage, and providing maintenance personnel with easy to understand corrective actions-- saving lives, time, and money.
This highly advanced VMS HUMS also offers continuous Rotor Track and Balance capability, fleet-wide health, and performance of safety-critical components, providing advance warning of potential equipment failures.
Intelligent Automation Corporation's is the world's leading supplier of helicopter on-board diagnostic systems for both military and commercial aircraft. IAC machinery diagnostics systems also serve the fixed wing aircraft, unmanned vehicle and ground vehicle markets.
