HSCI hikes prices of cars across all models

Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) today said it had hiked prices of its cars by up to Rs93,975 across all models following a hike in excise duty on automobiles in the budget 2012-13.
According to the company, under the new prices effective from 17 March, its entry level compact car Brio would become dearer by Rs4,000 to Rs10,000 depending on variants and would be available at price ranging between Rs3.99 lakh and Rs5.2 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Similarly, premium compact car Jazz would be costlier by Rs14,972 to Rs 15,000 at Rs5.75 lakh to Rs6.31 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The mid-sized sedan City would now carry a price tag of Rs7.1 lakh and Rs10.33 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), costlier by Rs5,000 to Rs10,500 across different variants, according to HSCI.
The Civic sedan would also become costlier by Rs36,600 to Rs45,800 and would now be available between Rs12.59 lakh and Rs14.88 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) across variants.
The company's top end sedan Accord would now cost between Rs20.29 lakh and Rs27.37 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) dearer by Rs67,500 to Rs93,975 depending on the variant.
