HCL Technologies tops survey on best performing IT services companies

HCL Technologies Ltd has been ranked No1 among the best performing IT services firms" in India, and its infrastructure services division ranked No2 world-wide in the infrastructure services providers listings. These ranking were awarded on the basis of the Global Services 100 survey, conducted by by Global Services magazine in association with Neo IT, an outsourcing advisory firm.
Global Services is a joint venture between Cybermedia LLC in New Delhi and CMP Media LLC in New York.
The survey lists the top 100 global offshore service providers, further segmenting them on the basis of specialised service offering such as the 'top 10 best performing BPO service providers', 'top 10 best performing IT services firms', 'top 10 human capital development organizations', 'top 10 emerging global service providers', 'top 10 specialty application divisions', and 'top 10 offshore call centre firms'.
The survey ascribed HCL's leadership in the IT services in software services and IT infrastructure management. "The company has been able to provide a strong value proposition to its customers through its unique basket of transformational services, a new concept in IT and infrastructure services that goes well beyond mere cost arbitrage," as per the findings of the survey.
HCL's global No2 rank in the 'best performing infrastructure services providers' category is the highest awarded to any India company in the IT Infrastructure services space, a segment hitherto dominated by US majors.
Last year, it was ranked the No1 'specialty offshore infrastructure services provider', a category now discontinued.
