Bangalore: Hinduja TMT (HTMT), which is focusing on IT-enabled services space, has procured an additional order for recruiting 72 more employees from one of the large health insurers from the US for processing the insurance claims received by them, which will go in operation in March 2002, a company press release said.

HTMT at present has 180 agents for processing the insurance claims on behalf of the above customer and has met the stringent quality standards fixed by the client. Satisfied with HTMTs work, the health insurance company has asked HTMT to increase the number of claim processors from 180 to 252 and has agreed to route more business through HTMTs Bangalore office. The business from the client is likely to double during 2002-2003 as compared to the current fiscal.

With the recently-reported order for the call-centre business and the additional business now secured for insurance-claim processing, the staff strength of HTMTs IT division, Bangalore, will reach 840 by March 2002 and cross 1,200 by June 2002, the release added.
