Hyundai Motor Feb sales up 68 per cent

Chennai: Hyundai Motor India Ltd announced yesterday that it sold 15,508 cars in February - 11,590 units in the domestic market and 3,918 in the export market. Domestic sales recorded a 68 per cent increase over February 2003 when the company sold 6,887 units.

A company release said that it sold 12,522 Santros against 6,126 in February 2003, while the Accent accounted for 2,851 units in February 2004 against 1,239 units for the same month last year. Hyundai also sold 101 Sonatas in February 2004, against 65 a year ago, and 34 units of the Terracan.
