New Delhi: As a pioneering achievement, ITCon, a software consultancy firm under the aegis of ITM Group of Colleges, Gwalior, has launched Pahchan, a centralised embedded online attendance and salary generation system, a first-of-its kind Indian software that connects security systems with biometrics.

The launch that took place at Hotel Shelter in Gwalior witnessed an impressive gathering of eminent representatives from bureaucracy, industries, leading educational institutes and hospitals to gain hands-on information about this indigenously developed software that is bound to give its foreign counterparts a run for their money, according to a company press release.

This system has multifunctional capabilities that can revolutionise the administrative tasks of any organisation. Based on the principles of simplicity and accessibility, the software requires a computer terminal, a thumb-impression device and a web camera. The use of the thumb-impression device, based on principles of biometrics, automatically eliminates the use of passwords and punch cards due to the uniqueness of a human fingerprint which cannot be stolen or duplicated.

Says ITM chairperson Kanupriya Singh: "This embedded system has been exclusively designed and developed by ITCon professionals and promises to save the most valuable resource — time — for any organisation. I am confident of its success and believe that it is going to revolutionise the working of many an organisation."

Using a power-point presentation, followed by a detailed question-answer session, Daulat Singh Chauhan, director, ITCon, explained that the system generates ''salary statements of employees, shows day-to-day status of the personnel, has intra-mailing facility, supports intra-audio and video conferencing and can be customised accordingly as per the needs of the organisations like visitor management, canteen management and door-locking facility.

In the past, ITCon has successfully set up networks for prestigious institutes like the Sri Institute of Technology & Sciences, Datia, Sri Ram College of Engineering & Management, Morena, and its automation software has been implemented at Insull-Well India, Indore, Indore Bandookghar and ITM, Gwalior, to name a few.
