Jet Airways trying to sell destination India at Kuala Lumpur travel fair

Jet Airways expects to sell 300 tour packages and 500 air tickets at the launch of the Incredible India Travel Fair, a joint effort by Jet Airways and India Tourism, at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 11 to 13 September.
The fair will feature tour packages and standalone air tickets to India at special rates, and is expected to attract some 2,000 visitors.
The objective is to promote India as a destination for Malaysian tourists and to introduce Jet Airways as the preferred airline for travel to and within India, an airline official said at the launch on Tuesday 11 September.
The fair was opened by acting high commissioner of India in Malaysia, Sanjay Panda.
With the rise of India as an economic powerhouse, Jet Airways aims to be one of the top five airlines in the world.
The
airline currently operates over 340 flights daily to 44 destinations within India,
while its long haul destinations include Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, London, Bangkok,
Colombo, Kathmandu, Brussels, New York and Toronto. Jet Airways'' share of India''s
domestic aviation market has increased to over 43 per cent, more than any other
Indian domestic operator.
