Hyderabad: Kedia Fans, a five-decade-old Hyderabad-based company house with diverse business interests, has announced that it has received an award for export performance and quality product from the Council for Industrial and Trade Development, India, for its fans business arm, Kedia Electricals.
Andhra Pradesh Governor Surjit Singh Barnala presented the award to Kedia Fan group managing director Ratan Kedia.
Says Kedia Fan group executive director Rohit Kedia: "Our fans business contributes around 35 crore to our group turnover, of which 25 crore is from the export market. We have been exporting high-quality fans to European and Australian markets and are one of the preferred partners for the supply of fans for government and military canteens. It gives us great pleasure to be recognised for our quality and performance."
The Kedia Fan Group won this award earlier also for the year 1990-91.
The Kedia Fans group has a turnover of Rs 150 crore. The group companies comprise Kedia India, Kedia Electricals, Rohit Extractions, R N Kedia Agro and Chemicals. The group's various activities include exports, trading and manufacturing. It has four plants in Andhra Pradesh which contribute to the production capabilities and has offices across eight states with an employee base of over 1,000.
