Kennametal Widia introduces productivity enhancement solutions

Kennametal Widia India has announced the launch of its global lean machining solutions including Tool Boss and K Mobile in India. Tool Boss, an advanced E-storage system with embedded tool management software, is designed to track tool inventory, raise operator accountability and provide data on tooling. K Mobile is a fully functional handheld device with features such as storage of over 1000 CNC machine profiles, comparison and selection of built-to-suit Kennametal geometries and grades and required speed settings for workplace material.
Both applications are designed on lean manufacturing principles to yield considerable saving in time and money by improving shop-floor productivity. Tool Boss and K Mobile are currently on display at the week-long manufacturing trade show, IMTEX 2004, which got underway in Mumbai on January 28, this year.
