Chennai: The Pune-based Rs 1,200-crore two-wheeler group, Kinetic, plans to beef up its exports to the US by starting shipping of motorcycles — the 125cc stylised motorcycle GF, the Boss and the Challenger — and its latest sensations, Nova and Zing scooter models.
Kinetic group chairman Arun Firodia says the homologation requirements for exports to North American markets have been completed. The group recently reached a milestone figure of exporting 25,000 vehicles (mostly Luna and V2 mopeds and the Style scooter) to the US. The group also exports to Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa and Australia.
The group, meanwhile, launched a new variant of its Zing scooter called the Zing Rocking with several first-of-its-kind features like two-tone colour combination, an under-seat mobile charger and holder, an FM radio and holder and a soft drink holder.
According to Sulajja Firodia Motwani, joint managing director, the vehicle, targeted at the youth segment, is getting good response.
