Hyderabad: Kinetic Motor Company has launched a new variant of its popular youth scooter called Kinetic Zing Rockin'. The Zing Rockin' is loaded with a host of style and never-before convenience features such as a dazzling two-tone colour combination, an under-seat mobile charger and holder, an FM radio and holder and a soft drink holder. Such convenience features, normally available only in premium cars, have never been added on a two-wheeler before.
Says Kinetic joint managing director Sulajja Firodia Motwani: "The Zing Rockin' is truly designed keeping in mind the needs of today's youth. The Zing has proven itself in terms of performance, reliability and popularity among the youth — the Rockin' series now takes some important steps in further fulfilling needs of a modern youth. The Zing Rockin' also features a 65cc engine with the largest under-seat storage in the scooterette class."
The Zing Rockin' is inspired by the success of the Kinetic Zing, which has cornered 25-per cent marketshare in scooterettes in less than a year for launch. The Zing Rockin' retains the peppy performance, high mileage and comfortable riding of the popular Zing.
The Zing Rockin' is made specially for the pre-college buying summer season and is designed to appeal to today's students in need of convenient, stylish and quick transportation. It is priced at a pocket-friendly Rs 24,555 (ex-showroom Hyderabad). This means it is about Rs 2,500-3,000 cheaper than its nearest competitor, the TVS Scooty.
Pune-based Kinetic is India's largest manufacturer of gearless scooters. The company makes a range of scooters from 65cc to 115cc engines and contemporary styling with popular brand names like the Zing, Nova, Zoom and the Marvel.
