LG launches curved screen TV in India

South Korean electronics giant LG has introduced, the LG 55EA9800, a curved screen OLED TV in India with a 55-inch OLED screen and thickness of 4.3mm.
Its features include picture quality with Infinite Contrast and 4 Colour Pixel technology for more true to life images. The curved screen OLED TV adds a white pixel to the RGB (red, green and blue) pixels that standard televisions have. In addition its 4 Colour Pixel technology adds an unfiltered, white sub-pixel to the traditional red, green and blue in standard TVs for brighter pictures with a wider range of colours and superior colour accuracy.
The TV have an almost infinite contrast ratio. With self-lighting pixel technology, the almost pencil-Thin TV with a depth of only 4.5mm at its thinnest point, displays deep colours from blazing white to the darkest black for a greater sense of realism and depth.
The TV also offers Magic Remote, with features like Gesture, Pointing, Wheel, Voice and Universal Control.
The curved OLED television, a Red Dot design award winner, comes with a crystal transparent stand as also an intuitive natural user interface with smart touch controls.
LG's curved TV is now available across stores in India for Rs9,99,000.
Soon Kwon, MD, LG India, said, the unique and immersive curved design would provide consumers with an ultimate viewing experience. He added, the company's target was to capture 30 per cent of market share in flat panels and 10 per cent market share in smart phones by end of next year.
