L&T bags orders worth Rs2,325 crore in buildings and factories segment

Larsen & Toubro's (L&T) Buildings & Factories Operating Company, part of its construction division – has bagged new orders aggregating Rs2,325 crore during the third quarter of the year 2009-10 for the construction of residential towers, hospital, exhibition centre, IT Park & factory building projects.
L&T has secured a Rs.800 crore contract from Oberoi Realty Pvt Ltd for the construction of residential towers at Goregaon (East), Mumbai.
In yet another development, a Rs625 crore contract has been secured from D B Realty Limited for the construction of residential towers at Parel, Mumbai.
L&T has also secured a Rs410 crore order from Engineering Projects (India) Ltd for construction of ESI hospital and medical college at Joka, Kolkata.
It has also secured other orders worth Rs490 crore from various esteemed clients for construction of an IT Park at Trivandrum, Business/Exhibition centre at Ahmedabad, office complex at Chandigarh and a sugar refinery at Kandla, Gujarat.
These orders further enhance the order book of the company it has already secured for major design & build contracts for airports, IT parks and commercial space. L&T has a commanding market share in these segments.
