Maruti to raise vehicle prices in January

Mumbai: Maruti Suzuki India Ltd today said that it would raise prices of its popular models Alto and Swift by around 2 to 3 per cent in January to cover higher raw-material costs. The company is expected to raise prices by between Rs4,000 and Rs12,000.

Earlier last week, utility vehicles major Mahindra & Mahindra said that it would raise prices of by up to Rs10,000 from 1 January to recover rising raw-material costs.
