Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) is asking customers of 52,686 new Swift and Baleno models to participate in a service campaign to get their vehicles inspected for a possible fault in the brake vacuum hose.

Maruti Suzuki said on Tuesday the New Swift and Baleno units manufactured between 1 December 2017 and 16 March 2018 will be covered in this campaign.
The vehicles to be inspected include 44,982 units of the new Swift, which was launched in February this year, and 7,704 units of Baleno.
Brake vacuum hose is a rubber pipe that creates and releases vacuum while applying brake but it has no impact on braking and braking distance.

Service campaigns are undertaken globally by automobile companies to rectify faults that may potentially cause inconvenience to customers, the company said.
Maruti delers will contact individual customers for inspection and replacement of the faulty part and the inspection and free replacemnet.
