Bangalore: The recently launched Hutch MSN Cricketer has proven its popularity with its downloadable count crossing the 145,000-mark.
Launched a month ago by leading Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon and prolific batsman and television commentator Sanjay Manjrekar, the Hutch MSN Cricketer is a desktop cricket buddy that allows users to keep track of all cricket matches on a 24x7 basis.
“The popularity of the Hutch MSN Cricketer was expected,” says MSN India director Shriram Adukoorie. “The feedback we have received about the Hutch MSN Cricketer has been very encouraging and we will constantly build upon the product to ensure that the needs of cricket lovers around the country are met.”
The Hutch MSN Cricketer is a free, downloadable desktop application, which allows users to receive ball-by-ball scores, match highlights, match recaps, view animations and participate in contests.
Users have the choice of running the application as a window on top of all desktop applications thereby allowing them to continue to work while staying connected to the game. The Hutch MSN Cricketer can also be minimised to the task bar and users can receive alerts at key moments like a six being hit or a batsman getting out.
