New Delhi: Microsoft Corporation India Pvt. Ltd. today announced the launch of Mobile2Market, a comprehensive certification and marketing program aimed at the Indian developer and independent software vendor community.
Mobile2Market is aimed at empowering these audiences with the relevant skills, tools and resources to create rich mobile applications, and tap the burgeoning mobile opportunity in India and globally. The programme comprises various steps, including application logo certification and inclusion in the Microsoft application catalogue. In addition it will help partners extend customer reach and reduce time-to-market, by providing them with access to distribution channels world-wide.
Commenting on the program, Sheila Gulati, director, developer and platform evangelism, Microsoft India said, "In addition to offering a great platform for development, we are committed to helping our partners realise the mobile opportunity in every way possible. Mobile2Market is designed to provide our partners with access to global resources and markets, and we are confident of its success in India."
"Microsoft provides a rich software platform, development tools, programmes and resources to help developers build and deliver innovative applications and devices - such as pocket PCs and smartphones. Over 100 Microsoft partners are participating in the Mobile & Embedded DevCon India 2004, and most of them are expected to roll out their offerings for the Indian consumer over the next year."
