NTPC Ltd, the country’s largest power generator, has reported a consolidated net profit of Rs3,690.95 crore for fiscal second quarter ended 30 September 2021, up 5.61 per cent compared to Rs3,494.61 crore in Q2 FY21.
Total income for the quarter stood at Rs33,095.67 crore against Rs28,677.64 crore in Q2 FY21.
Consolidated net profit for H2 FY22 stood at Rs7,134.67 crore, against Rs6,443.55 crore in H1 FY21, posting an increase of 10.73 per cent. Total income for H1 FY22 increased by 14.45 per cent to Rs63,486.27 crore against Rs55,472.32 crore in H1 FY21.
NTPC Ltd, with a present group installed capacity of 66,900 MW, recorded gross generation of 90.97 billion units in Q2 FY22 and 176.78 billion units in H1 FY22 against 77.93 billion units and 145.88 billion units during the previous year period, posting an increase of 16.74 per cent and 21.19 per cent, respectively.
On standalone basis, the gross generation of NTPC for Q2 FY22 was 74.81 billion units and 146.56 billion units in H1 FY22, compared to 67.67 billion units and 127.86 billion units in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, showing an increase of 10.55 per cent and 14.63 per cent, respectively. Coal stations achieved a plant load factor of 69.63 per cent against national average of 57.70 per cent, with an availability factor of 89.44 per cent.
On a standalone basis, total Income in Q2 FY22 was Rs29,273 crore against Rs26,023.33 crore in Q2 FY21. Total income for H1 FY22, stood at Rs56,075.25 crore against Rs50,044.33 crore in H1 FY21, recording an increase of 12.05 per cent. For Q2 FY22, PAT stood at Rs3,211.91 crore against Rs3,504.80 crore in Q2 FY21. PAT for H1 FY22 stood at Rs6,357.54 crore against Rs5,974.96 crore in H1 FY21, showing an increase of 6.40 per cent.
