Teradata bags Telestrategies Billing World Excellence Award

Mumbai: Teradata (www.teradata.com), a division of NCR Corporation (www.ncr.com), announced today that it has received the TeleStrategies Billing World 2003 Excellence Award for Best Business Intelligence Implementation.
In its award submission, Teradata provided an industry case study that was representative of how Teradata helps communications companies migrate to an integrated, active data warehouse that leverages an existing investment in enterprise data warehousing, accommodates increased usage and supports goals to provide new business intelligence capabilities for marketing, fraud and other organisations within the company, according to Al Schuetz, the vice-president of Teradata's communications industry marketing group.

According to Billing World & OSS Today, the billing-specific annual awards seek to recognise the best in billing, CRM, customer care, business process management, convergence, rating, data reconciliation, revenue assurance, cost management and mediation. Teradata was among four finalists selected by Billing World & OSS Today's editorial staff after a period of open nominations. Eligible vendors included those that help providers leverage data that exists within their organisation to affect process changes within their company that yield tangible business results. The company was named the winner following industry analyst input and extensive research by the editorial team.
