NDTV enters the Singapore market on SingTel''s mioTV service

New Delhi: Indian media and broadcast major New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) has announced its entry into the Singapore broadcast market, aboard SingTel''s mio TV platform.
NDTV 24x7, India''s leading English news channel and NDTV Profit, its business news channel shall be available on mio TV from 1 November, 2007.
According to Rahul Sood, head of distribution and affiliate sales, NDTV''s launch in Singapore is a milestone in the company''s quest to reach out beyond the domestic market to Indian expatriates, and all those who have a deeper commercial and cultural interest in the news and stories from the sub continent. He added that SingTel mio TV''s innovative approach to pay TV will allow subscribers simple and inexpensive access to NDTV''s channels.
Launched in 2003, NDTV 24X7 is NDTV''s flagship English news channel, which is home to a team of award winning journalists spearhead by Dr Prannoy Roy, Barkha Dutt, and Vikram Chandra among others.
NDTV 24X7 produces original content such as documentaries and special reports, along with popular programs like "We the People" and "The Big Fight."
NDTV Profit is a 24-hour business channel that launched in 2005.
