Nissan launches Evalia at a base price of Rs8.49 lakh

Nissan India, the local arm of Japanese auto maker Nissan, today launched its all-new seven-seater multi-utility vehicle (MUV), the Evalia, with a price tag of between Rs8.49 lakh and Rs9.99 lakh (ex- showroom Delhi).
The diesel-run Evalia will be available in five variants, all powered by Renault's 1.5-litre K9K dCi engine that gives a peak power and torque of 85 bhp and 200 Nm, respectively, the company said in a release.
The 1.5 litre 4 cylinder engine, with intercooler and a 5 speed gearbox, offers fuel efficiency of 19.33 km per litre, the company said.
It also boasts of Anti-Lock Breaking System (ABS), Electronic Break-force Distribution (EBD), Break Assist (BA), Engine Immobilizer, Airbags, electric controlled ORVM and follow-me headlamps as standard in all five variants of the Evalia.
With an ultra short turning radius of 5.2m Evalia ensures easy maneuverability and, along with reverse parking camera with color monitor in instrument panel, it offers convenience in parking in tight city spaces. Also, an overall height of less than 1.9m allows easy entry to most multi-storey and height-restricted car parks.
A wide frontal visibility and high driving position offers better drivability.
