Power Grid to invest Rs4,350 crore in three projects

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd will invest a total of around Rs4,350 crore in three transmission projects.
The board of directors of the company at its meeting on 15 March approved the investment proposals, the company said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Power Grid will invest an estimated Rs2,569.2 crore in a 'transmission system for phase-I generation projects in Orissa-Part-C'. The project is scheduled for commissioning in 36 months from the date of investment approval.
It will also invest around Rs1,585,12 crore in a 'transmission system for transfer of power from generation projects in Sikkim to NR/WR - Part-B'.
The project is scheduled for commissioning in 32 months from the date of investment approval.
Besides, Power Grid will invest Rs195.39 crore for setting up a 'national transmission asset management centre (NTAMC)', with scheduled commissioning within 36 months from the date of investment approval.
