QAD, a leading ERP solutions vendor, has announced an enhanced supply chain solution, which it has developed in collaboration with its automotive development group. Johnson Controls, Camcar Textron and MascoTech are now implementing this solution. Other members of the automotive development group include Ford Motor Company, LDM Technologies, Tower Automotive and Valfond.

This solution includes supplier shipping schedules and supplier performance modules for detailed information about the lower levels of the supply chain, besides the standard functionalities like global requisition, accounts receivable and billing. The former helps to generate and distribute short term shipping requirements to the supplier while the latter helps to track, evaluate and rate the quality and performance of suppliers, giving internal personnel the details needed to make critical decisions about suppliers.

Although this solution is aimed at the automotive sector, it will benefit other vertical market segments too.
