Ranbaxy obtains US FDA approval for high BP drug

New Delhi: Ranbaxy Laboratories has received approval from the US Food and Drug Authority (US FDA) for drug Benazepril Hydrochloride and Hydroclorothiazide used in the treatment of high blood pressure.

The USFDA has granted approval to the company for various dosage forms from five mg to 25 mg, as per the information available with the US FDA site.
Last year the company had received tentative approval from the company for the drug.

Yesterday the company had announced the setting up of a subsidiary in Italy to penetrate the European market further.
