New Delhi: According to union company affairs minister P C Gupta the government has no role to play in the 'ownership differences' in Reliance Industries Ltd. According to him, the management of the company was in perfect order.

"There can be problems between partners and there are ways to solve it," Gupta told reporters in Mumbai, adding there was no role for the centre. The minister said the government would have a role to play in in companies where there were problems with the management.

Replying to a query on disclosure of holdings by promoters, he said, "Promoters do disclose their holdings and it must have been done in this case also," adding that promotors were free to invest directly or through investment companies.
