SAP India’s revenue growth crosses 60 per cent in Q1 2012

IT solutions provider SAP India today said it grossed revenue growth in excess of 60 per cent in first quarter of 2012 which ended on 31 March.
"SAP India is one of the fastest growing companies within SAP worldwide with growth rates beyond 60 per cent in 1Q'2012 and more than 4,900 customers," SAP's global executive vice president Steve Lucas told PTI.
Lucas however, did not give financial details specific to India.
Globally, the company grossed 11 per cent increase in its total revenue at €3,350 million as against €3,024 million it reported during the same period a year ago.
SAP in India is bullish on growth of its relatively new business of IT database management which has an estimated market potential of around € 250 million according to Gartner.
Lucas said India was among to 4-5 markets where it had to win and given the impact that India had on global market and technology it could not afford to lose.
