Samsung launches 2ON, its first dual standby CDMA cum GSM Phone

New Delhi: Samsung Telecommunications India (STI) today announced the launch of Samsung '2 ON', it's first dual-standby CDMA-cum-GSM handset.
The mobile phone contains 2 SIM slots for GSM and CDMA each and will support both connections simultaneously, said Samsung. 2ON is supposed to operate on almost all service providers in India, both GSM and CDMA.
Salient features of '2 ON' include a 2.3 inch TFT touch screen, a 2-mega pixel camera, Micro SD card slot up to 1GB and a MP3 / AAC+ player.
On the software front, the handset is installed with a handwriting recognition system, file viewer, sketch memo, functional screen and special India specific applications of Indian calendar, Hinglish, mobile prayer and Panchang.
Along with its powerful multimedia features and stylish metallic design , the Samsung '2 0N' operates on a powerful 1200 'mAh' battery which gives longer talk time and extra power. The handset can also be used as a modem to access the internet at a speed of 153kbps on CDMA network.
Its tri-band frequency enables easy world roaming. The handset is priced at Rs16,500.
