Samsung Galaxy View is offering an 18-inch tablet to meet users’ entertainment needs

The ''tablet'' offers one of the biggest screens in the market today. With screens of tablets and tablet-like devices getting bigger, much like the Apple iPad Pro and the Microsoft Surface devices – Samsung seems intent on breaking new ground with its massive display.
That seems to be the express purpose of the Samsung Galaxy View, a tablet device distinctly marketed for its entertainment and media uses.
The 18.4-inch Full HD (1080p) display is built to display great and vibrant images. The display would be powered by an as yet unnamed 1.6Ghz octa-core processor, supported by 2GB RAM.
The huge tablet is being offered in 16GB and 32GB internal storage variants, but it comes with a microSD slot for expansion.
The device which runs a version of Android 5.1 Lollipop, comes with a webcam and communication features as well.
Samsung first revealed the Galaxy View during the IFA Berlin conference where the company launched its Gear S2 smartwatch. At the event Samsung hinted that it was working on an extra-large tablet, with it aimed to unveil before the end of the year.
Its massive size apart, many tech analysts view the device as too large to be a tablet and too small to be a TV. According to Samsung "a tablet is just a 10-inch phone - this is different."
The Samsung Galaxy View has been designed to function as a streaming device. The massive screen had been optiminsed for four videos with 16:9 aspect ratio and full HD resolution at 1920 x 1080 pixels, according to CNet.
