Mahindra Satyam ranked sixth best employer by Dataquest

Mahindra Satyam is sixth among 20 best employers to work with according to the `Dataquest CMR Best Employers 2011' Survey.
"This recognition underscores the steady progress in this turnaround story towards making Mahindra Satyam one of the preferred employers in the industry. What is remarkable is that this has been achieved in spite of the adversities that we are confronted with and reinforces our spirit to rise even further", Hari T, CPO and CMO of Mahindra Satyam, said.
"While the year was full of HR exercises, a company that deserves mention is Mahindra Satyam. The company has reentered the survey after a gap of three years. What is significant is that the company has earned a fairly good score from employees and made it to the sixth place in the Best Employer Survey," the magazine wrote.
"Mahindra Satyam's rankings on various parameters in the survey are a testimony how the company has emerged from its near-shattered image and rebuilt its business," it added.
As per the survey, the company also scored high on parameters such as gender inclusivity along with learning and development. All this has been made possible by various initiatives that are co-owned on the ground by every associate of the company, Mahindra Satyam said in a release.
Early this month, Mahindra Satyam had announced a pay hike for all eligible employees of the company, effective 1 October 2011. Mahindra Satyam, which deferred hikes in April, has finally sent letters to employees intimating the hikes.
Mahindra Satyam, which deferred the salary hike in a bid to reduce the impact of an additional expenditure on its quarterly performance, had also extended the dates of joining for freshers.
