Sony kick-starts unique ‘3D World Road Show Campaign’

Sony India, the Indian arm of the Japanese electronics giant Sony Corp, has started its '3D World Road Show Campaign' which involves mall and airport consumer activation activities in 31 locations across India.
Sony expects to use the the promo as an opportunity to connect with potential Indian consumers for its 3D technology.
The consumer promotion activity will involve experiential kiosk set up in 27 malls and airports in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore and its own 13 Sony national retail stores across the country.
The kiosks would be enclosed from three sides and equipped with the 3D Bravia in the front. The kiosks have been designed on Sony's Global display design guidelines to enable consumers enjoy the 3D TV viewing experience.
It has also introduced a special microsite featuring the its Road Show Locator to help consumers loacate the roadshow closest to them.
The TV will play 3D content and a technical engineer will be present on the venue to help people with product queries for 3D TVs. The campaign will continue till the end of August.
According to Masaru Tamagawa, managing director, Sony India, ''3D TV viewing is the next big step in home entertainment. We intend to inform the Indian consumer well about the technology and the experience that they will get so that they can make an informed decision while purchasing a 3D TV set for themselves.
The activity will also help us connect with the Indian consumer about their feedback for 3D TV's and help us customise products which are specific to Indian Market''
