Suzlon receives 18 MW repeat order from GSFC

Suzlon Energy has received a repeat order from Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd (GSFC) for setting up, operation and maintenance of an 18 MW wind energy project at Adodar in Porbandar district of Gujarat.
Suzlon will supply 12 units of S82 - 1.5 MW wind turbines and these would be commissioned by June this year, the company said in a filing with the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
GSFC is scaling up its total wind power geneartion capacity in the Kutch from the existing 22 MW to 40 MW.
This is GSFC's third project with the wind power major.
The Suzlon stock was up Rs2 (or 3.1 per cent) at Rs75 on the BSE.
Suzlon Energy, meanwhile, announced the exercise of ESOP option under which it has allotted 8,000 equity shares of Rs2 each to option grantees.
In a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company said the ESOP committee of the board of directors of the company at its meeting held on 6 April 2010 decided to allot 8,000 equity shares of Rs2 each to the option grantees, pursuant to exercise of the options granted to the eligible employees of the company and its subsidiary companies under the Employee Stock Options Plan- 2005.
Suzlon is the world's third leading and India's largest wind turbine manufacturer, while GSFC is one of Gujarat's leading state public sector undertakings (PSU) in the field of fertilizers and chemicals, with a diversified portfolio of 24 brands.
Suzlon was trading at Rs75, stronger by Rs2 or 3.1 per cent, on the BSE.
