Suzlon wins 19.2 MW repeat wind turbine order from Baidyanath group

Suzlon Energy Limited (SEL) has received a fresh order from the Baidyanath Group for supply, erection and commissioning of 19.2 MW of wind power units.
The repeat order from the Sidhayu Aryuvedic Research Foundation, a Baidyanath group company, is for seven units of its Suzlon's S88 (2.1 MW), and three units of the S82 (1.5 MW) wind turbine generators of a combined generating capacity of 19.2 MW.
Suzlon will set up, operate and maintain the 19.2 MW project, which will be installed in the Dhule and Satara districts in Maharashtra.
The new order takes Suzlon's total wind power equipment supply to the Baidyanath group to 26.7 MW, Suzlon said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The Baidyanath group is a leading name in the field of ayurvedic medicines with a standing of more than 90 years. Siddhayu Ayurvedic Research Foundation Private Limited, a Baidyanath group company, is a leading manufacturer of preformulated ayurvedic medicines, as well as organic and herbal products.
The project will be set up in two phases and will be completed by March 2011. The group plans to register the project with UNFCCC under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).
