Satyam inaugurates new development centre in Hungary

Hyderabad: Satyam Computer Services (NYSE:SAY), has opened a new Global Development Centre and office, in Budapest, Hungary. According to press release from the company, this expansion reflects Satyam's continued commitment to the European market and to providing the highest-quality services and solutions for customers across the globe.
The launch of the new centre was celebrates at the Four Seasons Gresham Palace Hotel in Budapest and was attended by Hungarian IT minister Kalman Kovacs, and. Manbir Singh, the Indian ambassador to Hungary.
Announcing the launch of the new centre, Ramalinga Raju, chairman, Satyam Computers, said, "We are highly competitive in Europe's growth markets and now with this newly established presence in Hungary, we intend to be the leader in this marketplace. Our ability to adapt and evolve has seen us emerge as the company with one of the largest operations globally amongst the peer group of other Indian IT companies. Our investment in Hungary reflects our ambitious plans for growth and leadership across the globe."
The Satyam Hungary Development Centre (SHDC) is located on a 6,000 sq ft location within the InfoPark campus in Budapest and can initially house up to 60 IT professionals with the option of recruiting several hundred more. Equipped with secure high speed connectivity to its client hosts as well as with the other 19 development centres that Satyam operates across the globe, the SHDC is well positioned to service the local, regional and global markets.
Raju also noted, "Hungarian graduates are some of the finest in the world with strong language and technology skills. I am delighted that Satyam, a company that invests in and supports its people, is joining us here in Hungary."

Satyam has consistently been ranked as one of the "best employers" in India in various surveys, and offers genuine and exciting employment opportunities in the growing Hungarian market. It initially plans to recruit local IT professionals for the SHDC added the press release.
