Sony Ericsson said its X10 will offer a new 'user experience platform' that would enable people to organise their contact information, social networks and personal media through an 'open, human and intuitive user experience.'

The interface known as the UX platform will be built on the existing Google Android foundation to offer unmatched integration of social media services and according to the company it will be the first mobile phone to 'truly humanise people's interaction with their phones.

According to Rikko Sakaguchi, an executive vice president in the company, the firm was pushing the boundaries of what is possible and demonstrating that it would deliver anything consumers could imagine.

He added that with the X10 the company was raising the bar, which it had set itself with entertainment-rich phones like Aino and Satio by making communication more fun and playful and multiplying and enriching opportunities to connect.

Like many new mobile phones, the X10 threads conversations by person instead of the method used to contact them meaning that users can access all their communications with a friend with one click regardless of whether they sent them a text message or email or even 'poked' them on Facebook.

Facial recognition software in the phone allows analysis and recognition of up to five faces in a single picture, automatic connection of that photo with a user's 'social phone book' along with calls and messages sent to the person.
