Sony launches new range of DVD players

New Delhi: Sony India has launched the DVP-NS575, a DVD player, and the DVP-NC675, a five CD changer. The former is priced at Rs6990 and the latter at Rs10,990.

The range is fitted with the new ''precision drive pro'', Sony's newly developed LSI and pick up mechanism that enables read out for higher picture and audio quality. It also has an inbuilt ''dynamic tilt compensation'' system that ensures excellent playback even from scratched or warped discs. The players have wider format compatibility that enables easy access to MP3 songs and JPEG /companies/companies_s/Sony_India/images.

Other features include PAL and NTSC progressive scan technology that renders sharp /companies/companies_s/Sony_India/images and the Multilevel Delta-Sigma D/A converter that improves signal-to-noise ratio. In addition, the new players come with ''multi-disc resume'' that allows the user to stop mid-movie, play music or another movie and then resume from where the movie was left off.
