Sprint Corporation recently announced the launch of a new application infrastructure management platform or AIM, which now adds to Sprint's existing suite of management capabilities to include customer's infrastructure and applications environments.
The AIM platform is an accomplishment of Sprint E-Solutions' pledge to offer customers an end-to-end source for e-business providing application solutions, hosted in Internet centers with tier 1 internet backbone and customer service. Through AIM platform Sprint E|Solutions' will not only be positioned to provide network and hosting infrastructure on which a company runs its business, but will also provide and manage applications needed to fully outsource Web-enabled business processes. Sprint E Solutions is doing this by aligning with leading providers of Internet hardware and applications products.
This position was reiterated by Keith Paglusch, president Sprint E-Solutions, who said, "We are operating in an alliance economy, where it is vital to have strong strategic relationships with companies, which can deliver both, the best technology and the best presence in the market. Recent alliances, such as those with Cisco, Sun Microsystems and BroadVision, and our enterprise mobile commerce capabilities were glimpses into this strategy."
Sprint continues to build alliances with companies that share Sprint's vision of making internet facilitate global e-business in bringing products and services to market faster and more efficiently. It also continues to leverage its internal resources such as Sprint E-Solutions' expertise in data services, breadth of professional services experts and Sprint PCS's depth of resources in mobile technology, to offer the complete solutions customers need.
"Sprint E-Solutions is working to become the highest quality service provider for hosted applications accessed from any location at any time. Already one of Sprint E Solutions' key differentiators is the development of a mobile solutions practice with Sprint PCS. As they continue to invest in new internet centers and increase capacity of their tier 1 internet backbone, they move closer to this objective", said Diane Myers, program manager, Application Hosting Strategies & Technologies, Stratecast Partners.
Through its Sprint AIM platform, Sprint E Solutions offers end-to-end application solutions, including infrastructure applications and business applications such as e-commerce, email/messaging, calendaring and portal services. Sprint's mobile commerce capabilities enable sales forces to become true 'road warriors' as they are able to use their mobile phones to access their network for client data, e-mail or whatever other information they need.
