Standard Electric launches solar and gas geysers

Chennai: Standard Electric Appliances, manufacturers of the Venus brand of water heaters, has forayed into the non-conventional water heater segment by launching solar and gas fired water heaters. The company has models both for residential as well as commercial segments.

To start with, the company will launch the new products in the southern markets and later expand into other markets. The solar range is priced from Rs 17,700onwards while the gas water heater is priced between Rs 5000 and Rs 10000.

According to I Ramkumar, director — sales, the new launches offer the customers two more energy-efficient and convenient ways to heat water for both domestic and commercial use.
