Tata Teleservices launches i-Help emergency services

New Delhi: Tata Group telecom company Tata Teleservices yesterday announced the launch of i-Help Emergency Services for subscribers, for any emergency assistance.
The company says i-Help will have a number of services in its portfolio to meet the requirements of the subscribers.
The first service that has been launched would allow mobile users to contact their family and friends instantly in an emergency.
The service will be useful for people working night shifts in the BPO industry, mainly working women, a company senior official said.
The company is hoping for an increased contribution of value added services (VAS) to the revenue from current 10 per cent to 15 per cent.
The service is available in 11 regional languages free of cost for all Tata Indicom pre-paid and post-paid subscribers.To avail the service, subscribers will have to register the three preferred numbers to be contacted in an emergency.
The caller can dial a specific number provided by Tata Teleservices and the system would call and send SMS to the three numbers, intimating them that the subscriber is in need of help.
