Tata Docomo in tie up with Microsoft for Windows applications

The newly introduced Tata Docomo and Microsoft India have tied up for developing new telecom products for the Indian market. The long-term collaboration will see development work on the new Windows Mobile 6.5 OS specifically for the Indian consumers.
Soon the two companies will launch phones equipped with the Windows Mobile 6.5 in Tata Docomo's circles. The new offer will bundle a 500MB per month free download offer for six months.
"In the immediate term, the partnership will involve the promotion of new Windows Phones-Acer Be Touch E101 and Acer Neo Touch s200, powered by Windows Mobile 6.5", Anil Sardana, MD, Tata Teleservices, said.
Talking about the new Windows platform, Sardana said the Windows OS offer was in keeping with its launch promise of providing the best products and services.
Tata Docomo currently operates in 10 circles out of the 18 for which it was alloted a license.
Tata Docomo has also inaugurated a retail store called 'Dive In' in Bangalore. The new store displays mobile applications and value-added services. Around 100 more such stores are in the offering within the next six months.
