Tata DoCoMo announces 3G tariff at 0.66 paise/second

Tata DoCoMo today announced its call tariff rates for 3G services at 0.66 paise / second.
The private telecom operator, which was the first to roll out 3G services, announced different tariff plans for post-paid and pre-paid 3G mobile services. Ranging from Rs350 to Rs2,000, the services will include monthly minutes as well as data usage. For example, in a monthly tariff package of Rs2,000 the subscriber would get 5,000 minutes voice calls, along with data usage of up to 2 GB per month.
The subscribers will be charged for number of seconds used and the pulse rate would be 'per second', the company said.
Tata DoCoMo had launched its 3G services in nine circles - Karnataka, Kerala, Rest of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya-Pradesh-Chhattisgarh and UP (West).
Other private telecom operators like Bharti and Vodafone are also likely to start 3G services in the coming few months.
